Major Transformation Projects

As well as the income we receive direct from the levy and the additional money we generate from delivering those projects, we also have access to funding from the Mill Street Development Fund. This income will be used as match funding to help us secure other grants in order to deliver major projects in the town that will develop Aberystwyth as a key visitor destination and drive footfall, and improve the local economy.

Our ideas

Aber Zip Wire

With a Phase 1 Engineering Survey already complete and preparations underway to submit a planning application, we would aim to secure additional funding needed to complete the project over the next few years. Click here for more information.

Splash Park

With design ideas and costings obtained in our first term, we would work closely with key partners, including Ceredigion County Council, Aberystwyth Town Council and Caru Aber to move this project forward over the next 5 years.

Inflatable Waterpark

With consultation meetings already taken place, our aim is to develop an inflatable waterpark next to the Royal Pier, which will be accessible via a new water slide.

Land Train

We would explore the opportunity of operating a Land Train, which would act as both an attraction along the Prom and as a park & ride facility.
