We are delighted to announce that we have been successfully in receiving a grant of £20,000 from Welsh Government and Ceredigion County Council’s Transforming Towns COVID-19 fund. The grant has allowed us to develop new Café Quarter areas in town, which are currently being piloted in Kings Hall Square and at the bottom of Great Darkgate Street. Manager Matthew Newbold said, “It’s great that we’ve bene able to secure funding to benefit the town. Ideally, we would have developed the café quarters at the beginning of the summer season, however the grant has only just become available. We could have decided not to use the areas until next Spring, however we thought we would use the last few weeks of Summer/Autumn to pilot them out and ensure that by next Spring they can be fully utilised. Kings Hall Square in particular is a great underused space, therefore we hope they will prove to be a great asset to the town for years to come.”
